Real Stories, Real Impact

Women building businesses, creating change

The African Enterprising Woman (TAEW) is a women's economic empowerment organization focused on helping African women turn skills into sustainable income and build successful businesses.

We provide entrepreneurship training, business development support, digital skills training, mentorship programs, and community-based initiatives that equip women with practical tools to start and scale their ventures.

Through programs like EmpowerHer, we also facilitate access to networks, resources, and opportunities that drive long-term growth and financial independence.

Success Story

I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have received through The African Entrepreneur Women (TAEW) under the leadership of Mama Eposi Frida. Joining this community has had a remarkable impact on both my personal and business journey. Through TAEW, I gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be an entrepreneur. I learned practical ways to develop business ideas, improve my marketing, manage growth, and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs. One experience that had a lasting impact on me was the entrepreneurship program held at the American Space, University of Buea. Before attending, my snail farming business faced several challenges, including limited funding, few customers, and a lack of effective marketing strategies. The knowledge and inspiration I received encouraged me to think differently about my business. Today, I am working toward expanding my snail farm by introducing a new production system that not only supplies snails for consumption but also converts snail waste into organic manure, creating an additional source of income and promoting sustainable farming. I sincerely thank TAEW for creating a platform that inspires women entrepreneurs to dream bigger, innovate, and build sustainable businesses. With continued support, I believe I can achieve even greater impact and contribute to my community.

One of the most valuable aspects of the program has been the WhatsApp community, where members continue to share business ideas, opportunities, and encouragement. Knowing that I can always seek guidance and support whenever I face a challenge has given me the confidence to keep moving forward. I am truly grateful to be part of TAEW. The knowledge, mentorship, and supportive community have strengthened my entrepreneurial journey, and I look forward to growing my business even further.

Voices Of Impact

I started The African Enterprising Woman (TAEW) after recognizing a recurring gap among women in my community. Many had ideas, talents, or small businesses, but lacked access to the right skills, mentorship, and support systems to grow sustainably.

Coming from a context where opportunities are limited, especially for women in rural and underserved areas, I saw how financial dependence and lack of exposure held many women back.

The motivation was simple but urgent: to create a platform that goes beyond inspiration and actually equips women with practical tools to earn, build, and sustain businesses. I wanted to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, helping women move from just having ideas to generating real income and impact.

TAEW was built to ensure that women are not just empowered in words but economically empowered in reality.

"Supportive. Practical. Transformative. That's what TAEW offers."
